Meet Erin Wills

Driven by over two decades of dedicated service in Detroit as a social worker, teacher, and principal, Erin Wills founded AnchorED Leaders with a clear vision: to empower leaders in high-stakes environments to not just navigate challenges, but to thrive. Witnessing firsthand the isolation and burnout that can plague leaders in demanding roles, particularly within the educational sector, Erin recognized a critical need for robust support systems. This personal experience fuels her passion for equipping leaders with the strategic navigation tools necessary for sustainable success.

As a principal in urban education for eight years, Erin brings a wealth of practical, on-the-ground experience and a Master’s in Educational Leadership to her work with AnchorED Leaders and to her speaking engagements. Holding certifications in both DiSC and The 5 Behaviors of a Team, Erin possesses a deep understanding of team dynamics, individual development, and fostering collaborative environments. Notably, in 2017, Erin was entrusted with the leadership of a school identified by the State of Michigan as low-performing, which had experienced significant leadership turnover. Within a single year, through strategic systems development, authentic relationship building, the implementation of effective academic strategies, and the cultivation of a consistent culture, the school successfully exited the failing schools list. Erin is recognized for her expertise in mobilizing teams to achieve significant and sustainable change, a topic she frequently addresses in her presentations.
